First, determine how many credits you need to take at NJU. Please see below for NJU transfer credit policy.
Please note that NJU accepts up to six courses of transfer credit from accredited graduate schools under the following conditions:
- All transferred courses must be from nationally or regionally accredited schools that are authorized to confer graduate degrees. The transferred courses must have been taken as part of a program that leads to a graduate degree.
- The student must have earned a grade or "C" or better (or its equivalent in the event of a course that is not awarded a letter grade).
- Transferred courses may substitute for core courses only if they are substantially similar to NJU courses for which they are being substituted.
- Transferred courses may replace elective courses if they are substantially related to the degree that the student is seeking.
Determination as to whether a course is substantially similar to a specific NJU course or whether a course is substantially related to the degree that the student is seeking is left to the discretion of NJU.

Textbook costs vary from course to course; the estimated average cost of a new (unused) textbook is

Some online retailers also offer used textbooks, and the
message boards include a forum for students looking to buy used textbooks from fellow students. This can significantly bring the cost down.
